Do you know the yarn weight you used? In the US, inexpensive yarn in hobby stores has a number on the label from 0 to 7 that gives you an idea of the yarn weight. In yarn stores, it is usually fingering (or sock, or baby) - which is a 1, Sport - 2, DK - is a 3, Worsted (or Aran ) - 4, Chunky - 5 Super bulky - 6, etc. It would be helpful to know for sure. The Craft Yarn Council has a chart available online.

Maybe problem is here:
-First click on "Hi tina", then click on "Enter Member Area",
there is the Full tutorial.
-Or click on "Log Out"
Then follow these steps:
1. click on: "Member Login"
2. type your login details (Email and password)

4. move your pointer to the right side (where write PLAYLIST)
5. select some chapter (click on it)

Great tutorials - easiest I've seen.

I received my Paypal confirmation, which says that I have set up automatic payment every 3 months. Please confirm that Paypal will not be paying you quarterly for the full Converse booties video that I purchased.

about your interest, you have a couple links on the top of this page (click on it).
Sorry, but I don't have a written pattern.
You can use PLAY-PAUSE button, when you watching tutorial,
especially in the parts of tutorial which contains pictures (scheme).
That is similar like a written pattern. Also,you can write this on some paper, and make your own written pattern.

Hi Carla,
I don't have an adult size pattern, but you can try with a much thicker yarn and hook,
using this pattern.
Also, you can easily change length of shoes by changing of number stitches in starting chain (one chain have a length 1/5 inches (0.5 cm)), and for the same number of stitches change the following side rows, when you work "Sole".
Example:
If you increase the chain for the one stitch, total length will be increased for 1/5 inches (0.5 cm), and now will be 4,2 inches (10.5 cm). So if you want increase shoes for 1 cm: start with 16 chains, increasing for 1,5 cm: start with 17 chains, and so on ... Everything else, in this tutorial, stays the same.
This is effective for small changes, plus or minus 1 inches (2-3 cm), but with thick yarn and hook it can be even much bigger.

Suggestion for solution of problem (with your login details), I have sent on your Email.
About your question:
I can't remove remove the subscribe because of some tehnical reasons (confusing PayPal setup which I can't change), but your time period of subscription is immediately expired, when you make a payment (on my bill writes "expired",I think also on yours PayPal). That means you never be charged again, ever.
Also, access is for unlimited period of time ( not only 3 months ).

I use to put all videos and tutorials on my ipad to be able to crochet "on the go" (during my breaks at my job, in the train, ...) There you will find that the size of crochet hook is 2.5 mm ( 0.1 inch ),

2.What weight of yarn is it?

3. I don't have printable instructions, for the right now.
( video instructions is so simple for everybody, I think )
4. I'm not on Ravelry, yet .
5. Size of sneakers in this tutorial is 4 inches ( 10 cm ).
6. By using of this tutorial, work is always the same ( but, yes you can experiment, later;) .

Your tutorial is amazing. I am very excited to start this project. I am a beginner for sure... I went to Michaels to find yarn but I was a bit overwhelmed. lol. I have used, in this tutorial: 2,5 mm (0,1 inch) crochet hook,
yarn 100% acrylic, 250m/100g, manufacturer "Dora" Turkey.
If something is recommended, that means you don't must strictly respect.So, if on some yarn write 3-4, I was using even smaller hook 2.5 ( smaller hook-fabric is hardness ). Here is one site: http://www.iceyarns.com/dora ,

I've used a 2.00mm hook, a 2.5mm and a 3.00mm and I've used a couple of different yarns but I still keep ending up with a 5" sole.... It looks nice but it is way too big. The tension is consistant, and I've counted stitches exactly and watched the tutorial and help videos countless times but I keep ending up with a massive baby booty that even my 21 month old toddler is too small for right now... Any suggestions on modification to the pattern that could help? I read on your youtube comments where you said dropping a couple stitches from the chain and then each row following (on the sides.. but that it would only adjust the size by a couple centimeters. That would still be too large. I can't figure out what I'm doing that's making this so large...

Hi Heather,
here a couple solution:
1. use thin yarn
2. more tension of string

,or if you wish significantly reduce, adapt pattern:
1. Work "Sole" only to the part 15 of video tutorial
( we'll throw whole fourth row of sole )
2.Part "Overside Bottom": omit one row ( remains 3 )
3.Part "Overside Up": at beginning mark 8-th chain on to both side ( not 10-th ).
4.Part " Topside ": work to the part 4. then jump to the part 9.
5.At the end, reduce height of shoes ( omit couple rows ).

On this way you will get significantly smaller shoes.

Hi Pastor,
Changing a number of stitches in starting chain, you change the final length of shoes. In this tutorial ( sole 10 cm (4 inches), and 14 chains ), one chain have the length about 0,5 cm ( 1/5 inch ). Example if you reduce chain for 1 ( then will have 13 chains ), you must reduce each side row for 1 stitch also ( total length of shoes is reduced for 0,5 cm ( 1/5 inch ), and now will be 9,5 cm ).
So if you want reduce shoes for 1 cm: start with 12 chains, reducing for 1,5 cm: start with 11 chains, and so on ... This is effective for small decreasing, or increasing ( to 2-3 cm ( 1 inches)). For bigger changes, you must change the number of rows
( individual experiment :) )

This shoe fit to age group to approximately 6 months.
You can easily change length of shoes, plus or minus
1 inches (2 to 3 cm), by changing of number stitches in starting chain (one chain have a length 1/5 inches (0.5 cm)), and for the same number change overside rows, when you working Sole.
Example:
If you reduce the chain for the one stitch, total length will be reduced for 1/5 inches (0.5 cm), and now will be 3,8 inches
(9.5 cm). Everything else, in this tutorial, stay the same.

Hi Nina, your shoes are beautiful! I found that the best yarn is DK 3, it's not fuzzy like most yarns and is close to stitch gage. Where do you live? Hi Nina, your work is beautiful! Do you get your yarn from Iceyarns? if so is it the 2 or dk 3? For me I figured out that the yarn has to be DK to work the pattern, but it's very expensive here so thinking about ordering from Iceyarns. dK is a firmer yarn and bigger then baby yarn, and I'm using a steel 3.35 crochet hook. Again love your work! Thanks for sharing!

You can also use a cotton yarn, the same size like acrylic (work is beautiful).

Dear Nina, I'm happy with the tutorial I bought from you. The only thing I'm not certain about is the part where you are supposed to put the shoe laces through. It seems to me that the sides are not symmetrical. The last row (row 6) has on one side, 1 hdc and on the other end the 2 chains. Hi Pat,
I don't have an adult size pattern, but you can try with a much thicker yarn and hook, by using this pattern.
Also, you can easily change length of shoes by changing of number stitches in starting chain (one chain have a length 1/5 inches (0.5 cm) ), and for the same number of stitches change the following side rows, when you working "Sole". Example: If you increase the chain for the one stitch, total length will be increased for 1/5 inches (0.5 cm), and now will be 4,2 inches (10.5 cm). So if you want increase shoes for 1 cm: start with 16 chains, increasing for 1,5 cm: start with 17 chains, and so on ... Everything else, in this tutorial, stays the same.
This is effective for small changes, plus or minus 1 inches (2-3 cm), but with thick yarn and hook it can be even much bigger.

Love your videos! I made my first shoe with a 4 yarn and a 4 hook and it's the size of a toddler/small child. Do you have a different pattern for newborn sized shoes? I'm trying to make them to add to a baby shower gift.

smaller size of hook and yarn, automatically means smaller shoes (significantly) and vice versa.
Also You can easily change length of shoes, plus or minus 1 inches (2 to 3 cm), by changing of number stitches in starting chain (one chain have a length 1/5 inches (0.5 cm)), and for the same number of stitches change the following side rows, when you working Sole.

I have been reading all the comments in your comment section and girl you need to do a written version of this video. You could sell a written version and a video version of this. It is the best tutorial I have found to date. I have done some very extensive research on these little crocheted booties and you have the best of all of them. No one does anything in comparison to yours. So kill two birds with one stone and make a written version of this video and you can make twice the money. Sell them separately. $10.00 for video and $10.00 for written version of this video. People would buy it I promise. I know I would.

I purchased your pattern yesterday for the air Jordan’s. I’m very disappointed that for the price I had to pay the Pattern is not as clear to understand. I am not a novice Crocheter and have been using patterns and writing my own patterns for over 10 years. I attempted to use your tutorial videos but again disappointed that there is no explainations and the use of white yarn makes it unclear where you are placing stitches. Overall I’m just a little sad and disappointed.

I have been trying to make the converse booties. I was able to make one pair.. then made others things. I came back to make another pair and the video to make the topside stops half way through and goes to you ad to buy 3. I can’t get the rest of the video. Is there something I am missing. I did purchase the printed pattern but am having a hard time with the instructions as my count never matches either with the print out or the video.
